    I'd be curious to know in which part of the country you figure you can demolish a burnt-out house, level the site and build a new house for 175K?

    You say the house 'value' is 175K but it's the rebuild cost that needs covering, not the sale value.

    Maybe undervalued the rebuild a bit but shouldn't be much more.I just bought it for 155,000.I am in Donegal.
