Switching from SUV to van

    Hey guys,

I recently sold my jeep and looking to buy a 3 seater van (I think) for light farm duties and I also work in an office. I know I will need to switch to commercial insurance. My wife has an SUV that we use when travelling with our young lad but I would need a van that I can install a car seat when required. Budget around 10kish. I've looked at the Transit Connect, Partner and Berlingo. I would be towing occasionally but very often. I sold my jeep as hardly anyone seat in the back seats and it was a waste having it.

Any advice welcome? I need to buy something soon.

I've 2 partner vans, had a transporter, traffic, the partner vans have been my favourite. 3 seats, 1.6 diesel, misers on fuel, drive like cars and easier to get around in (parking etc) than the bigger and. Couldn't fault any of the vans above but the partners are a great little van.

I like the Berlingo's and Partner's but have read these vans wouldn't be as safe as the Connect but maybe that's only the older type ones. I'm going to test drive a lwb Connect and Proace next week before I make my mind up. The Transporter would be too big for my needs I feel. I've driven Caddy's before. Would rather 3 seats.

Yea the 3 seats in the small van are great. Not sure how the Berlin go, partner aren't as safe- usually the French vehicles reach the highest safety levels in the testing. Good luck with your purchase, whatever you choose.
