Turf wars 2023

    The turf has been cut and as usual it has spent most of the time since raining. Its quite a sight in today's eco friendly world, the whole place is blackened with rows of turf... Over 500 hoppers on the same hillside.

    In other locations locally, trouble is brewing among mountain commonage owners. Seemingly if one person cuts turf all the shareholders get penalised or at least that's my take on it.

    Its only a matter of time before it's stopped alltogether, but not this year!!

    Saw a few outfits on the road in the Midlands over the last few days. Big setups for your own, and to gift to the neighbours. Must be very generous fellas!

    I cut 10 sods with a garden spade (sleán covered with shyte in the bavk of the shed) the other day just to show the young lad what it was about.

    Hopefully they can't see that much from space...
