Rent a Room - Rarely Used by Tenant

I know of someone who used rent a room to a foreign guy who hardly ever stayed in the house, but still paid €1k per month. I think he (the tenant) needed to have a room rented in his name, either for tax purposes, or maybe his employer required it.

Sounds like a great situation for the homeowner… Just wondering, is this commonplace, and how would one go about advertising to similar-situation prospective tenants?

This has nothing to do with Feedback. Confirm your email address so you can post properly, then I'll move this to a forum that's related to the topic instead.
