Anyone know where I can find .22 WMR FMJ ammo? I've seen some for sale on gunshop.ie but it's been out of stock for months.

Or can someone recommend other .22 WMR ammo that doesn't blow up rabbits too badly?

Had Federal 22 wmr fmj years ago. Not seen it since.

Rabbits, hit 'em in the head.

    RWS excellent but pricey.

Remy 33 grain bt's excellent but not seen any in years.

Federal 50 grain very accurate out to 100m + but bit "droppy" at anything over 100m.

CCI Maxi Mag 40g & Remy 40g HP's excellent all rounds

Winchester and Hornady never had any luck with.

    50 rounds now €28.......last batch were €20 🤯

An old Brno Semi Auto. Looking for something to headshot rabbits without doing too much damage basically.

Have been using hornady 30gr ballistic tip for years find them very good accurate so don’t bother using anything else. Used the Remington ballistic tip 40gr I think years ago and found them to be a good Rd also. Ammo selection is limited for the .22 mag as the .17 seems to be a more popular choice for shooters. I think I last paid for hornady €20 for 50 and seen them lately for around €22:50 for 50.

The old SA won’t like anything other than the stand velocity 22wmr fodder. 1875fps wity 40 grain.

Remny 33 grain and Hornday 30gn all too fast to time properly

You’ll struggle to get spares for an old Brno so keep that in mind.. when you pumping rounds through her.

If yer head shooting does it matter if it's FMJ, hollow or ballistic tippy?

First they came for the socialists...

Not particularly I guess, but the ballistic tips make an awful mess altogether, well the 30gr Hornadys do anyway. I wonder would something like a 50 gr hollow point with better weight retention reduce the explosive tendancy of the bullet?
