Baofeng uv-9r plus help please.

Hi all I bought the above handheld and I programmed in 70cm mount Leinster frequency and I can hear the repeater and the qso,s but I cannot open the repeater to talk,any ideas on maybe some settings I've not got correct??.

Oh and I'm a licensed EI

May be that you have the tx frequency off or maybe the tone.

i'd start again and program it into another channel.

Try downloading the open source CHIRP program to you PC and program the UV-9R via the Programming lead, way easier than doing it manually and you'll find the repeater frequencies on the below link hope this helps. Best 73.

Also Output frequency = RX

Input frequency = TX

i don,t have a programming lead for it,tryed longs but no joy.

Is that a clone or original cable??.

The clones won't work cause of the latest updates to drivers by windows.
