I thought this might interest some people here. Or perhaps some of you could share with friends or family interested in running. Especially those planning to take part in Warriors Run this summer as this would be excellent training for it.
There's a new off-road running league taking place throughout Sligo between May and July via IMRA. Five races in total - Union Wood, Knocknarea, Carrowkeel, Benbulben and Sliabh Daene. Several of the races will have both a short route (typically 5-6km) and a longer route (typically 8-12km). Keep an eye on the league page and the Trail Runners Sligo FB page for more details.
They're super cheap and a lot of fun, just €7 to enter each one after a yearly IMRA membership fee of €10 is paid.
