How long does an expedited Land Registry Issue take?

    Hi,

We have gone sale agreed 10 weeks ago. There is an outstanding land registry issue that is taking at least 6 weeks at this point to go through. Unfortunately the sale of our house (it's a particular case) can't go through until the land registry query is sorted. We are in a position where we could lose our potential buyer so we are wondering should we hold out for our dream home or look elsewhere where the sale isn't so complicated.

My understanding is that PRA will try to expedite applications if good reasons for request.

The time would be dependent on the nature of the application of the issue causing a delay.

Whoever is dealing with your sale is probably in the best position to answer that.

Having just started in the PRA, I can confirm that there is no particular reason needed. If your solicitor/lodging party requests it, it's done.

I've then seen them completed as soon as same day, or some are still outstanding from January. If there is a query, it's dependent on how quick the lodging party satisfies it. As soon as it's satisfied, it's then dealt with again asap.
