Anyone any ideas about why radio volume not working on a 2017 Skoda superb? Unit lights up sat nav, radio channels etc all on, but no sound on radio part. Then at times when start car there is sound until end of journey and engine off again. When I hold menu button and pretend to update, then press radio, most of time that works. Heard control module cost 3000e so hopeing to avoid going down that route! And advice or hints appreciated or anyone experience this occurance. Cheers

It’ll be nowhere near €3000. I got a (used) full system installed for around €800 if I remember right.

You might only need a screen. I’ll PM you the guys details.

My 2020 Passat's infotainment unit failed eighteen months ago and the new replacement was priced at €3000. Luckily the car was still under warranty so didn't cost me anything.

Was ur cars unit still lit up and sat nav etc working? Mine seems to just be the radio part, no volume, and when I move volume knob does nothing, then when press menu and update, it works again. Strange. Wudnt buy new unit unless it was blank screen but everything working apart from contrary volume:(

Mine failed completely. Just showed an error message on the screen one morning.. No heating, sat nav, rear camera or radio/music.

Any warning signs on yours? I only have car a month, but everything working apart from volume on the entertainment screen. Previous owner was told it's the control module. He didn't get it replaced cause out of warranty and he rarely used radio. Everything else works fine. Wonder is the radio volume part fixable without replacing full unit

No warning at all. Just had an error message on the screen when I started the car one morning. Can't remember exactly what it said but the unit was effectively dead. It was a Dynaudio unit. The VW dealer thought at first it was a software issue and tried to do a hard reset, but it was soon obvious the unit had died.

This car is like this for few years, according to previous owner. Screen lights up sat nav etc all work perfectly but radio and media volume not working, reset or pretnd update and volume works then. Wonder is the problem in the screen or in glovebox? May get 2nd hand screen or glovebox part. Is it very expensive to buy new unit, different type that would fit into slot?
