Can anything be done with brown iron well water. We had s filtration system that never solved the problem and the unit we were sold the filters couldn't be replaced. Don't want to spend thousands on a new filtration system for it to last a few years. We use rainwater but run out quickly. Any help

We have an iron/manganese unit fitted to our well. Its looks similiar to water softener with a valve and cylinder. It regenerates twice a week and the resin gets replaced after 10 years.

It might be worth getting a raw water sample analyised and getting a company to quote for a treatment plan. There is also a council grant for well upgrades that may be worth looking into.
