garden renovation?

    hi im wondering if anyone could advise, im looking to level off the grass, thinking getting a rotavator and mini digger, just wondering what size skip i would need for this?

    Depends on how much and what you are taking off? Any blocks, fencing? Also how much stuff are you going to find around the house and the rest of the place once you have a skip? On the face of it a 'builder's skip' would seem like big enough - that's the second size down, not the biggest one with very high sides (which are very hard to fill as you have to chuck everything so high to get it in). The builder's skip you can stack and layer fairly neatly because you can mostly reach.

    Why are you getting rid of your soil?

    Its useful to have soil for growing plants and gardening. Are you going to reduce the level of the garden for some reason? If you cut down the overgrown grass, the level of the soil may not be as high as you might think it is now when you are looking at all that growth.
