Exclude UK results from Google searches

I couldn't find which forum would be the best, so I said I'd post it here, as at least it might get answered! Mods: feel free to move to whichever forum would suit best, I can't pick one...

As per title, is there any way to do this properly? Specifically shopping results, I don't want UK sites because Brexit/VAT and all that painful crap that goes with it. And I don't like using Amazon if at all possible. I've set the country as IE, use specific search terms, but the results are still page upon page of UK sites or Amazon (or wish/ebay). Pain in me hole trying to find a sandlewood beard oil that looks like it was made by a company that actually cares about beard care (few and far between, I know).

Google Advanced Search. You can specify a country (under Any Region), but I can't see any way to exclude a country.

use the search term site:.ie "your text" this will only find sites with a .ie address not foul proof as many uk sites have a .ie address but it does help

OT but may help the OP.

On amazon, what I've done in the past is find what I need on amazon UK (in English!), then switch to say the French site and search for it where, usually will find with the English product name or code, and order from there.

    sandalwood beard oil -site:www.*.co.uk

I'm pretty sure the above works.

Translate it to French and do a search.

In the EU, no duty etc and hassle paying same, as the OP outlines.

is it cheaper buying from France then?

I use Amazon quite a bit and the duties etc are all paid upfront, I've not had any hassle at all. I have used Amazon Spain a couple of times, but as the products aren't available on .co.uk it is hard to tell if there is a price difference. It takes over a week to get here though.

The OP wants to avoid using Amazon if at all possible. My advice re this bit in the post:

Pain in me hole trying to find a sandlewood beard oil that looks like it was made by a company that actually cares about beard care (few and far between, I know).

If no human has put something on the internet to match what you are looking for, then you won't find it on the internet. And if no human has made a product to match your exact requirements, then you won't find it anywhere. Maybe temper your expectations, with a touch of reality.

This. This worked. Well, mostly. When it ran out of ie it started going back to GB! But thank you!

re: my comments, there's more than a fair share of "companies" out there pretending to be about beard care, but are more about money. There are a few who are actually about beard care, but a lot of my results were UK based. The above narrows it down and is showing me results that were not coming up when I was searching. I found one which was based in Dublin, showed the barber shop, the staff, customer reviews, but there was no address or direct contact number. Scam. Lots of that out there, or ones just throwing any aul oils into a bottle and calling it beard oil.

Edit: turns out there's only like 2 actual Irish shops, and they both do sandlewood +, I just want sandlewood. One would think it would be easy. Guess I'll have to drop my requirements for not using Amazon. Hopefully ze Germans have good stuff.
