    Today I met up with a group of friends who get together about once a month to have lunch and gossip. Today someone pointed out it was Poetry Day so between us we cobbled together a pome:

    There were some auld ladies who lunched,

    And very occasionally brunched, 

    They had dodgy knees, 

    Needed glasses to see, 

    And put in their teeth when they munched.


    Yeah ok, its poetry by committee, but any other offerings gladly received...
