Water Heater Suggestion - Studio Apartment

Hi, im hoping someone can advise me on a water heating product.

I have a small studio apartment that currently only has cold water supply to the kitchen sink and bathroom basin. The shower is electric and does't require a hot supply so that's fine.

Is there any water heater I can install that works on demand like an electric shower? I don't want it to be constantly heating as I am not there quite often and it would be just wasting electricity.

Also I only need warm water in those 2 sinks, not boiling hot.

You have precluded some of you options by not wanting constant heating or boiling water, but a compromise could be an under-sink unit which is switched.

This type of unit is much more efficient than a kettle as it's well insulated and is adjustable. The installation can be tricky, so isn't normally a DIY job as there are now requirements for pressure vessels and a non-return valve to be fitted, but I do think that it's a good option for your needs.

More or less, except that Triton one would need to be on it's own cable and breaker from the consumer unit as it's 7.7kW while the one which I linked was only 2kW. The triton would be true instantaneous (no storage) while the other will store 5l of hot water.

Great, thanks again for the info. I think i'll go with the ATC then. One last question, would there be a power capacity issue with either of these given I already have a 10kw electric shower? Like would there be a problem running both at the same time hypothetically?

With the Triton instantaneous there would, and there would likely need to be an electrical interlock installed to prevent the two operating at the same time.

The ATC unit at 2Kw should be fine operating alongside the shower.

Exactly. 2kW is less than a kettle, so unlikely to be a problem unless the circuit is already borderline.
