It's my husband's 40th birthday in December so I am looking to book a trip away for new years to celebrate. I know he would love to ski but I'm thinking a week would be too much for me so wondering if we could do 3 or 4 days skiing and then maybe a 2 or 3 days city break also. Anybody ever do this or could recommend anywhere. Thinking Italy would be nice. Or is there any specialist travel agent that might be able to help?? Thanks

I have done Lyon and Chamonix in France. Annecy, which is lovely, is nearby as well. Geneva in Switzerland isn't too far away either.

Maybe you could do Barcelona and Andorra for the skiing.

Marrakesh and skiing in the Atlas mountains? - 1.5 hours drive away. Skiing season is mid Jan to mid Feb, but can sometimes be start Jan to March.

Just wondering if he has skied before as it takes a few days for a complete novice to really get going, in that case 3/4 days is too short imo

Yes we have skied before, but not a lot. I'm not a major fan hence why I don't want to do a full week skiing.
