Wheel alignment

I replaced all the front suspension on my car recently myself (struts, springs, lower control arm, droplink, track rods) and I left it into a garage last week for an alignment. When I picked it up, the steering wheel was tilted off to one side a few degrees (it had been straight up to then). When I raised this with the garage, they said they'd spent "ages" getting it aligned and questioned the parts I'd used, and became quite belligerent when I simply asked that they check it again (probably needs track rods slightly adjusted imo).

Basically they haven't done what I asked and paid for, and they're now blaming me, the car, the parts etc. I do my own maintenance and have kept the car in good condition (long history of being ripped off with shoddy workmanship by garages led to this) but I didn't have the time or patience to do a DIY alignment job. So do I go back and argue with this guy (who is adamant he did a "proper job") or is there a reputable place in Dublin who will?

I did something similar on my own car, didn't change the struts or springs but changed all the other stuff you mentioned, inner and outer rods and strut top mounts also.

I got it tracked at my usual place and they always had the wheel off centre a little bit afterwards, so I wasn't doubting my work, wrecked my head but they offered it for free whenever I was getting tyres.

I've since went to Best Drive to align the car and its been driving perfectly straight with steering wheel centred, although they charge well.

Long story short there's a process to follow when aligning the front toe on a car, and part of that is locking the wheel in its centred position.

It's off centre because they're not holding the wheel straight and as they're turning the jamb nut on the inner tie rod, it's tilting the wheel slightly off centre.

They're not doing their job properly I don't think it's anything got to do with your work or quality of parts used, unless you used the cheapest of the cheap.
