Does anyone know when using the click and collect option on Screwfix site if you can pay in store instead of online? Like a similar method to argos.?

Is it even possible to order from store maybe?

    Any help appreciated.

You've to pay first for click & collect. You can't reserve something and then pay in store like Argos.

If you want to pay with cash or even one of their own gift cards (still can't be used on the website last I checked), you can order and pay in store. I'd recommend checking stock levels on the website before you get there.

You'll be asked if you've shopped with them before and your name and address to find your account. I'm not sure if you can get away without creating an account, even if just buying in store.

If you're buying in the store you need to create an account. Plenty of people are just in buying stuff without ordering.

I *think* it's to do with how it's defined as a shop legally, you need to have an account. It's not big deal though. I'd suggest creating one online first before showing, purely to save time.

Its the reason I buy very little from them. Most of their more expensive stock isn't stocked locally so you have to pay in advance and wait 2-3 days for it to arrive. In that time I can have the item delivered to my door by Amazon.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Thanks guys. Yes the item was one that wasn't in stock and would be a click and collect job in 2 - 3 days time.

You can go into the store and order it and pay cash then.

Some items can be delivered to your home.

Also you cannot walk around the stores, its only a counter. ie like Argos
