Mains Fuse not going all the way on

I've just changed an immersion timer (replaced same model with a working timer). But when I turn back on the mains Fuse it isn't going all the way to the top. Everything is working as it should and it's not stuck in position. It just isn't going all the way to the top. Any ideas how I rectify it?

    Maybe a picture

Is it the actual main switch or a MCB

    Hopefully this makes it clearer.

Maybe pull the fuse out of it and reinsert , try up and down to free it

Switch all the other breakers off if you're trying to free it

If you can’t get the fuse to install fully then you will have a bad connection and risk overheating and further damage to the consumer unit.
