Combined edger/strimmer

Hi,

Has anyone got recommendations for a combined edger/strimmer? Would prefer one with a guide wheel for edging. Battery/cordless powered only.

Is there much difference performance wise between the line-feed and blade variants? The first couple of goes might be heavy going as the edges are well overgrown.

I changed from a petrol strimmer to Worx cordless one. It also has an edge function, but don't use that a lot. I like it a lot, it always just starts immediatley by pressing a button ..as opposed to the petrol strimmer, and line feed actually works, I never have to stop to give it more line. It is obviously not as powerful but strims grass very well.

I did go for the Worx as I also have a Landroid and the batteries are exchangeable.

If its heavy edging work an electric strimmer will be useless. A garden spade or a proper half moon edging iron (if you can get a decent one most are useless) will be better to get you started. Plastic blades tend to be a pain unless they are on the weakest of machines, they wear to quickly and need replacing, a tap and go head means you can just keep going till the battery runs out.

Thanks - just ordered that one.

@The Continental Op - light edging.is all it will be. It has already been manually edged to get rid of the heavy stuff.
