    Hey all,

I'm just wondering if it's worth getting these installed on a new RAV4? I haven't got kids but thought they might improve the look of the car? Would like to get opinions please on the pros and cons of them. I've read some feedback online that they end up scuffing trousers when you get out and people end up stepping over them etc. Also reading that the RAV4 doesn't sit high enough to use them as a step

They’re purely for aesthetics. They were a big thing 15 years ago and only a certain type of person sticks that sort of stuff on their car 😬 although to be fair those steps are less vulgar than most.

you’re right that they get dirty and may transfer that onto your clothes.

Are you planning on standing on the side like Keanu Reeves in Speed? If not then avoid.

My mate got them installed on his RAV4, he recently upgraded to a newer model and got them moved.

I asked him about them and for the kids he says they are excellent. Adult you won't really use them.

He has a 7 and 5 year old. So depends on who is travelling with you.

Yeah, I can imagine they'd be handy for kids but since I haven't got any there's no point 😁

Unless kids the Rav is not really that high off the ground so would seem pointless to me, some people do install for the "look" but I don't get that
