Additional lands to Deer License

Just wondering what the state of play is if you have applied and received your deer license for the coming season and a landowner then asks you to shoot deers on their land. Is verbal permission enough to shoot deers on their land even though it’s not on your list submitted to NPWS or could you get into a whole load of dudu with NPWS/Gardai as the land is not associated with the current deer license?

Nope, once you’re provided with the deer license (on lands that were suitable at the time), there is no legal requirement to advise the NPWS or the AGS that you have been given permission on other lands. However, were you shooting on land and are challenged as to your permission, the burden of proof is yours!
