Damp walls in shed. How can I fix

    Hi,

    I have damp walls in my shed and would be grateful for recommendations on how to fix the problem please.

    Not sure why it is happening as there is a damp proof course.

    Some pics of inside and out attached.

    Looks more like damp coming down than rising.

    Have a look at that corner when its raining and observe what's happening.

    Are there gutters/does rainwater run straight off the roof?

    well an unplastered block built shed is always going to allow damp in, plaster it and will be fine, if plastering is not an option then dampness will remain

    Damp proof course isn't installed correctly. Looks like it's in the wrong spot, or if that's the DPM, its on the missing entirely.

    Unrendered blocks will let water penetrate easily

    I'm sorry, only seeing this now. Thanks for the advice. I never thought of it coming from above. I have gutters but perhaps I didnt do them well enough. Will take a pic asap.

    I'm sorry, only seeing this now. Thanks for the advice. Thought I did the damp proof course correctly but maybe I messed up. Not sure where it is in the wrong spot or where it is missing; I didnt skip anywhere.

    As you say, the unrendered blocks could be the issue.

    The DPC should be 150mm above the ground level, in the image below it is at the ground level. This is too low. I can't see a DPM. THey may have combined both into one, but in doing so they are probably installed both badly

    I still think it's coming top-down and it's catching on the DPM and tracking across it somewhat too.

    You might have a leak either in that gutter or within the corner where the roof terminates. Not sure of the roof type, but that's what it looks like to me.
