3/4 man tent recommendation

Looking for a 3/4 man tent recommendation. Will be myself and 2/3 of my kids using it so not looking for a large tent, something with a bit of a porch.

The tent may have to be carried for a few 100m and with Irish weather I don't want something that will let in rain easily.

KAMPA MERSEA 4 PERSON TENT looks like a good place to start the search.

Any recommendations. Budget 300 euro but will go higher if its something that will last.

One thing I would say is its extremely small for you and 3 kids.

I'd call into somewhere like the Outdoor Adventure Store in Liffey Street and talk to them about you're specific requirements.

Weight, time of year, terrain, coastal or woodland ease of erection etc. all come into play.

Also the ads tend to be optimistic about the number of people a tent will hold - a 4 man will typically just about fit four slim people packed in like sardines!

    Have you looked at Decathlon?

Below tent is a 4 man one. I've been in it (not just in shop). There's a bedroom each side & middle space which are all decent enough sizes. Comes in a handy to carry bag that holds everything for it so should be easy enough to bring anywhere. Also is blackout & only €285. I know a few people who've had their versions of this (diff colours etc) for about 5/6 years & all good still so does seem to last too.

Thanks, I forgot to add that the kids are u6 and this particular tent would be used for 1-2 nights.

If you're on your own with three kids under six maybe go for an inflatable tent. Fussing around with poles and inners while watching three small kids isn't going to be fun!
