Backfall in sewer pipe

We live on a row of 8 houses (we are 3rd house) that are constantly having to get drain unblockers out due to the drains backing up.

After they blocked today( 4th or 5th time this year) we got a camera survey done showing a significant backfall in pipe roughly between houses 6-8. Unfortunately one of the residents in the affected houses has an extension at the rear of the house. What I'm wondering us how do we rectify the problem and/or has anyone ever had a similar problem to deal with?

Is the affected pipe section under this extension?

The camera survey should be able to pinpoint the location precisely. After that the only practical solution is to dig an replace the section, or else reroute it.

And always a good question to ask: What is the relationship like between the affected neighbours? Would they be willing to facilitate fixing this issue?

We are waiting for the report to be posted out so we cannot pinpoint exactly where the backfall is until that arrives. There is a good relationship with neighbours I believe. But another question... Will everyone on the line affected have to pay for any potential repair, or are the homeowners directly above the fault wholely responsible??

In general the responsibility would be shared because it’s a shared pipe. But if somebody can be identified as having damaged the pipe (by building above it, say) then things might be different.
