glow worm Flexicom 18hx heating water problem

    Hi All,

I have an glow worm Flexicom 18hx boiler controlled by the Nest heatlink.

The issue is that when I put on boost for hot water, there is a click from the boiler and the valve in the hot press lights up.

The boiler though is not firing up like it does for the rads which work perfect, hence no hot water.

If i press the button on the heatlink for both rads and water, it still will not heat the water.

Before I ring the GAS service guy, do ye have any recommendations what could be causing this?

If it was the diverter valve, are these expensive for supply and fit?

    Thanks.

Is the water pressure reading low or anything?

    Hi 10-10-20,

    Thanks for your reply.

Plumber came and went straight to the hot press where there is a Suter V221D Motoroused valve.

This was lighting up when the water heating was initialised by Nest but he removed the yellow cover and cleaned "some gunk which was stopping the ball bearing from moving to send the signal to the boiler to fire up"

    It worked then straight away.

No pipes from what I could see were loosen.

I noticed a button at the side, I presume that he pressed this to revove the yellow part?

If this happens again, is it possible to buy a new motorised valve, or just the actuator part and swop it out?

Hi! If there was gunk on it, it may have been a leaky and stuck valve. You would normally see the discoloration around the valve if that is happening. Is it discoloured at all?
