Possible to plumb warm water for outside tap?

I have a new (5 years ago) build house, we have a cold water tap on the back wall (assume its plumbed back to under the kitchen sink)

A pooch is in our future and i was thinking that the ability to have warm water outside for baths etc would useful, maybe something where you could turn on a hot cold mix (to get warmish water from the tap) and then turn it back to cold only for usual use.

@Cyrus - I believe you were thinking of getting a Labrador? Those dogs were bred for ice cold water retrieving. Washing them, even in winter, with ice cold water is fine, doesn't bother them (although the females in my house beg to differ through their anthropomorphism 😂) but obviously doesn't get rid of grease / dirt as well as warm water

Or here is for a super cheap solution, works quite well (but only really on sunny days), I used to have one and brought it to the beach as most beaches in Ireland don't have beach showers. Is there even a single one that does?

But... to answer your original question, if that is a pic of an outside wall, it would be a relatively easy job for a plumber to put a T on that pipe, run another pipe through the external wall and put a hot tap outside. If you are thinking of having a mixer tap then you wouuld need both hot and cold supply pipes adjacent to each other and somewhere to mount a mixer tap. I'm not sure about the availability of wall mounted mixer taps?

A cheaper option might be just to connect a hose pipe to a mixer tap inside. It depends on what taps you have inside but we use the below connector to wash our dog with the garden hose and warm water (He's a lab and doesn't like a cold water shower!!!).

Imagine a Newfoundland that runs away from any running water from a hose or even warm water in a watering can. 70kg of (stinky) dog with a mind of his own who will then go and sit in the river when the temperature outside is below zero 😲

I had the same requirement, a 45KG dog that likes to swim in bog water...

I bought the cheapest shower mixer I could find on Amazon:

I mounted it under my sink, with a T piece on both the hot and cold feeds. I used standard cheap flexi hoses with the isolation valves built in to connect the shower mixer.

I used another flexi on the output of the shower mixer. I bored a single half inch piece of copper through the wall. You probably already have this for the single tap.

I then bought the cheapest bidet shower I could find, and connected it to the pipe coming through the wall with straight through adapter.

Total cost was about 80 euro. I leave the mixer tap always on under the sink with the correct temperature set. If it is going to be really cold I turn it off and let the water drain out of the bidet hose to prevent freezing.

It has plenty of power and the dog loves it!

Should be fine considering they are built for a wet environment (protect from cold of course).

I'm about to mount a Belfast utility sink outside for washing hands/boots and haven't found a reasonably priced "outdoor" mixer.

I might just get two taps and make up a mixer with some copper pipe.

I'm fairly sure that would be against water regulations if the cold side is connected directly to the mains supply. But no one ever seems to bother with them let alone enforce them. The reason is you could end up with a situation where water from your "hot water cylinder" and header tank is syphoned back into the mains water supply. Big deal I know know but it is vaguely possible. Just put a non return valve in both feed pipes or at the least the cold.

If you did install an outdoor hot tap, maybe it would need a ball valve on the inside to avoid wasting heat?

For people who have solar thermal panels, an outdoor hot tap would be ideal. A very economical way to have a hot tub.
