With the new season after starting, thought it would be a good idea to keep this forum idea going. The Red Sox are off to a weak start now too especially being with their pitching.

A month+ into the season and every team in the AL East is above .500.

    That's rare.

I'm guessing the new "balanced" schedule is a factor.

With the "unbalanced" schedule teams played each division rival 19 times.

That's not the case anymore, so they likely have been all beating up on other teams outside their division rather than beating up on each other.

So, huh, the Padres and Mets. Whats happened this season?

At least Mets were mature enough, to accept the bad season, and dump Max and Justin.

And so the Cubs did what they always do and blew September. A 7-14 record in the last stretch was enough to miss out on a Wild Card spot by a game.

Nothing wrong with the batting line up this season (they had one of the highest run differentials in the League), nothing wrong with starting pitching but the relief corps just couldn't hold it together.
