Social Interaction with Doctor

    I share a common interest with a consultant I attend by total coincidence, which means we occasionally meet at events every few months.

    What are the boundaries/etiquette in these situations? Is it ok to engage in general conversation like you do with anyone at these things? Or should we avoid each other? Know there are a few doctors here that might have insights

    Yes fire away engage in general converstation . They're human too well the medical consultants are anyway :)

    AVOID discussing your health problems if it is a social situation. No need to avoid each other at all.
