Identifying equipment that appeared on side of house.

So this equipment appeared on the side of a friend's holiday home.

She's doesn't know what it is or who put it up. And she didn't agree to it.

To me it looks like a fibre hub.

Anyone know how to identify what it is and who put it there.

The metal shroud covering the cable (Cant see in the above pic) isn't even straight. Total half assed rush job

more likely to be SIRO. They prob put them whever there is already electricity wires since they are part ESB ?

Those heavy trunk cables, running perpendicular to the fibre trunk cable, are they ESB power cables, cable TV cables or other?

I'd be nearly sure it is Openeir but if you could get a clear picture of the yellow label I'd know for certain.

It looks like fibre - no power - just glass optic fibres inside that carry light. Your new 1Gbit internet will come from that. Its a good thing.

Out of interest, why take it down if it can provide fibre broadband in the future?

Like @shmeee I had the same thought. Not alone could it provide fibre to other households but your friend could also get fibre service from this box also. In fairness looks like a neat enough install and out of the way.
