I know its hard to give an exact answer to this question but i'll fire ahead anyway ,

How long should you get out of 500 litres of Kerosene so half a tank ,

Seems to be nearly gone in 3 months , Now given that was from the 30th of December to the 30th of March so winter,

In a 3 bed Semi detached house with 6 people , Does that sound about right or to much ?

That sounds good to me. Youll get more than a full year out of a full tank at that rate.

Just doesn't seem that long ago i put half a tank but as i said that 3 months of winter & uses will dramatically decrease in the next 6 months ,

For those 3 months, that at least average if not a little better than that.

The boiler engineer told me 2-2.5 litres per hour assuming 50% on, there is many variables, size of boiler, coldness of house etc....

SO breaking it down 500 / 2.25 = 222 hours, divide by 3 months (90 days) the boiler is on for 2.46 hours per day at 100% or 5 hours at 50%, sound right?
