How do you convert a judicial separation application to a divorce on the day?

If somebody has applied for a Judicial Separation and is due in court for it after the two years of marital breakdown has been complete (since 2019 you need to be separated for two years to be eligible for a divorce in Ireland), what legal forms or process is needed to get a judge to grant you a divorce on the day of the court hearing, rather than a judicial separation? Must notice be given to the Court or any other body that this is your intention? Would anybody have the legal clause which now makes this conversion possible in Irish law? (rather than paying twice: once for a judicial separation process, and twice for a divorce process)
