Lidl Soya and Insect Patties

    So these appeared in my local Lidl today, beside the vegetarian stuff..

    I didn't actually look at the back of the box but it appears it's mealworm grubs at 7%

    Anyone tempted?

    I'll not be sampling them myself but any vegetarians here who would consider it?

    Saw a picture of them a while back, so not an April fools joke


    The ingredients list ground up mealworm larvae, here's a picture to whet the appetite 😉

    I'm fairly sure they don't count as vegetarian anyway, didn't seem to be marked as such on the packaging

    If this is the future of food then I'll happily go vegan 😂
