    Hi folks,

    Just looking for some ideas;

    Recently paid off mortgage. Income available for savings/investments now app. €40k per year.

    What would you do?!

    Note I am relatively risk-averse.

    Thanks

    You could build up your cash pile, buy another property in Ireland, buy property overseas, invest in equities/bonds/anything, put money in your pension, private investing, buy/start a business, etc.

    Tbh if you're saving €40k/year and have no mortgage you probably have a lot of options, but it's difficult for someone to guess without knowing your age/life situation/dependants/location/goals.

    Your best bet might be to pay for a proper financial advisor so they can have a look at your specific situation, ideally a fee-only advisor who isn't trying to sell you their own products.
