Lidl (not so) special buys

I posted recently that the middle aisle deals in both Aldi and Lidl are no longer great deals.

I'd often see many similar items cheaper elsewhere. I think they still have a certain cohort out there which just assumes if it's in the middle aisle, it's a great bargain.

It's also happening with a lot of their groceries as well. The big retailers are fighting back with their own branded stuff now often cheaper than the Germans.

A bizarrely subtle form of shrinkflation. Even by Lidl's standards it's bottom of the barrell stuff to do.

Still at it. Very misleading plus all online reviews show both tools in the case while all of Lidl Ireland advertising carefully shows the case outside only.

A real Middle Aisle "Special" , exclusively for Irish customers.
