Replacing Floorboards

One of the jobs I plan to do this summer in the house is to start the process of insulating under the flooring. Its a bungalow built using a suspended floor. Whilst Im doing it I am going to replace the old floor boards that have been down for years and have been hacked apart to create access ports in the hall leaving the floor uneven. My dilema is what material to use replacing the floor boards. 18mm ply or osb? As its a ground floor I'm leaning towards 18mm shuttering ply but I might be over analysing it and 18mm osb would be fine. There will be a flooring placed on top, probably a semi solid or lvt, whether that makes a diference aswell?

OSB should be cheaper, more environmentally friendly and (I think, but I can't prove) better at sound and vibration absorption. It should be stable enough unless you have some horrific water leak or flooding event in which case the subfloor will be the least of your problems.

Thank you. OSB is obviously cheaper aswell.
