    Hi all.

I have 3500 oaks which are 10yrs in ground. I pruned and shaped for 1st few years...up until maintenance grant anyway.

With one thing and another never kept it up. Looking at them now and I have my work cut out for me!!! They have all nearly forked. Some amazingly have grown straight but not many. Some are 16ft tall. And forks to be removed could be 4in thick. Some of the heavier forks have naturally broken with weight. Treed are closely planted.

Any tips or advice for me in this situation? I'll go ahead and prune. My understanding is oaks are tough and will adapt.
