I have made a booking months in advance and was expecting to pay on the day with the credit card as money is usualy taken then.

I dont remember online payment taken out of bank the next day ?

Anybody else know its usually taken out early or only when i show up , when you dont show they usually deducted 28 euro for non showing as far as i remember

Previously mine was always taken on the day of the test but the most recent one it was taken within 24 hours of me booking it, the €55 in full.

NCTS changed this during Covid times, dont remember the exact date but the money is now taken out at time of booking.

Payment is taken at time of booking now or a few days later, if you cancel the test within the given cancellation period then the money is refunded to the original payment card.

I don’t think companies are allowed hold payment card information for very long anymore.

Booked my car in for test in August last month and it was taken right away too.

If u book online, money is taken then, if you ring them and get a date or ask to be put on the priority list and they come back with a date in a few weeks , you can opt to pre pay online once you’ve received a date or you can just pay at the centre

They are out to fail people. List of checks is way more than when originally set up. There's an agenda going on... A certain percentage quota to fail...Get people to buy electric cars.

Tester came out to me with a smirk... Big, big fail ... He said.

I told him he was a big fail, get a better job
