Civil Service forced move

I’ve been in the civil service in my current function for over two years and always on the same team, I am the most senior clerical officer on that team but last week I was informed I was being moved to another team.

I have spoken to my Manager and tried to explain that my current team is less experienced they have only about 6 months service and that I act up when the manager isn’t there, the team I am to be moved into though has experienced staff on it already and the whole move doesn’t make sense to me at all and my manager doesn’t seem want to budge on the idea, is there anything I can do to stop the move?

    Speak to a union rep.
