    I remember a few years back, a promotor was called out for ripping off musicians. Would target young bands.


    Not naming names, but PF was the guy in this case. Found out later he had used one of his mates credit cards for thousands.


    Does this still go on? The "sell tickets for me and I'll let you play" model?

    I think one venue still do it, won't name em



    But otherwise its 99% gone, however some venues still look for bands to play for free
