I let something fall down behind the oven - help?

    grr i let the plastic lid of a soup tub fall down behind the oven.. ekkk.. the oven is fixed in between kitchen cupboards.. I don't think I can get it out.. could the oven go on fire when turned on?

    Nah it won't go on fire. Probably a lot more stuff back there.

    The oven is insulated, otherwise it would just be expensively heating the kitchen. If it's like most kitchens there's a grease horror show back there. Don't worry.

    thanks for the replies - oh I hope it will be ok

    I tried to retrieve it with a 2 pronged meat fork but all I got was a clump of dust

    grrr.. always something to worry about

    have you tried removing the kick boards, if the oven is suspended above the floor?

    or try use a coat hanger and some gaffer tape suspended off it , that stuff will stick to anything, always good to have a roll or two.


    if you move the oven, turn off the mains elec if its connected up, just ot be safe.
