    Mercedes Collision Prevention Assist pulls data primarily from a basic radar, wheel speed sensors and brake pressure sensors to help determine if it needs to apply additional braking pressure after the driver themselves brakes.

    But it will also take into account 12V battery health, ABS pump, steering angle sensor, external temperature, GPS, etc, so it could be any number of things causing the issue.

    Is there anything else not perfect with the car? Did it get a bang? Is the front bumper clean?

    no bangs, recent battery no obvious issues with bumper sensors.
