Hi I’m looking to purchase a new car. My current car I have had for 13 years and it’s a 2006 Nissan.

I need a big boot as we do a bit of camping. We also have mountain bikes that we either put on a rack to bring with us on trips.

my weekly travel is 50km 3 days a week and some local town driving for the rest of the time with a monthly trip of 100km.

Am I doing enough driving for a diesel.

Im looking for an SUV with a bit of space that you can let down the seats. I have seen a Kia Sportage 2016 for 18k low mileage and also 2016 Hyundai Tucson 21k both diesel. I liked both but the sales man was showing me a brand new Dacia duster for 26k it has good space but I’m wondering about the reliability etc

what other options should I look at ?

Dacia's are actually pretty reliable and then you also do not need to worry about NCT's for four years with a brand new car. With a car a few years old would either have a NCT due or very close to it. But it's up to you but I am very unlucky with NCT's and never passed ever on my first go. Tyres will be brand new on the Dacia and a decent brand. Cars a few years old may be still on their original tyres depending on how many miles is on the clock.

Yep. I'd have no fears with dacia reliability.

The Sportage/Tucson has a small boot.

Dacia are owned by Renault, they use a mix of current and previous generation Renault parts. Also you don't need a diesel car for 50km 3 days a week and town driving. The Duster is available with a petrol engine too, you should look at that over a diesel one.
