Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Possible Asbestos living room

    Hello,

We are purchasing a second hand home in Dublin built in the 1950's, after getting a survey done he noted that the stiples in the ceiling of our living room may or may not have asbestos and recommends we get it checked before buying or at the minimum before doing any works.

We have no plans in the near future to do any work to that part of the house so would it be ok to it leave it as is?

Asbestos-era Artex ceilings would be 'safe unless disturbed' but you should definitely get it tested if intending to do anything to it. I personally wouldn't even want to paint it as you will break stipples off but others may not consider that risky.

Good to know thanks a mill!

Hopefully our bank won't see it as an issue for the time being.
