If you left a 2018 car in for service oil and airfilter and spark plugs and airfilter car was perfect before it went in and within a week was leaking oil turns out to be rocker cover seal Would you think this was related to service ?

If the rocker cover was removed they’d have to replace the gasket with a fresh one but I’m not sure they’d be taking the rocker cover off as part of a normal service.

Check the receipt for a parts list & see if a rocker cover gasket is listed, if they charged you for the part you could then argue it wasn’t fitted (or refitted) correctly.

Moved to a forum that's actually related to the topic instead.

What car is it? Don't think there is many cars you'd have to take the rocker cover off to change oil/air/sparkies.

    Probably just a coincidence.

Gasket leak or oil spill during service? Get a can of brake cleaner, clean it off & see is it still leaking next week.

Or normally what occurs that the customer 'inspects' the engine after the service and first notices the leak and blames the mechanic
