    Summons has to be applied for within six months of the alleged offence.

    There's no fixed time limit within which the summons must be served, once it has been issued, but there's no reason to hang about and it usually happens fairly smartly. So if this was, say, 8 or 9 months ago and you haven't heard anything yet, odds are good that you're not going to hear anything.
