Recently installed two of these, both retrofits for Mira Sport, my own, 18 years old and daughters, 20 years old. No problems with installations but problem arose with daughter's.

Shower starting fine but would not stop when push button pressed, slackened securing screws a little, still no joy, removed shower from wall (fully tiled) no problems with tiles or grouting, replaced shower, same problem. Checked all round shower/tiles with a feeler gauge and found that there is a 1mm (40 thou) gap on the right hand side, inserted slightly thicker than 1mm plastic shim betweem righthand side of trimplate and tiles, problem solved, presume shim is now slightly pushing the front cover bottom slightly further away from the shower body and allowing the PB/solenoid to operate properly?.

Went home and checked out my own installation and the found the exact same 1MM gap as above but no problems. The trimplate on both showers has no cable or pipe entries.

I find the T80z & t90sr unforgiving with tiles that aren't level. These showers need to be totally flat against the wall. Difficulty with the on/off switch can usually be rectified by loosening the screws pinning it to the wall as they might be warping the back plate. On the T90sr there are 3 screws holding a cover for the on/off switch & micro switches. These screws can be loosened a quarter or half turn & the shower should power on & off without issue
