Evening Youth strands on local radio stations memories

Do ya remember when radio was relavant to the youth and the local stations used to do an effort for them in the evenings? What was interesting was some stations would do 5+ hours and rebrand under a youthful name like "Hot FM" from 7pm while other stations like MNWR just had an hour of pop music from 9-10pm. Eastcoast FM only dropped its evening youth show on demand about 3/4 years ago and AFAIK that was the last one standing

The FM104 show was called the funny-farm with Rick O’Shea then Steve K

Spin used to have the zoo crew in the evening.

These shows had a big listenership back then.

2fm famously tried to reignite nightly Youth radio around 2015 with Louise mcsharry doing a Sunday surgery type show followed by Chris and Ciara but it wasn't long until Chris and Ciara were moved to weekend mornings and Mcsharrys show was changed to an new music and indie format

Tuathla Lucey's slot on LMFM seems to be like this, based on the odd time I heard it.
