    Hi everyone,

I’m thinking of buying an apartment in the Broomfield estate in Midleton and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the area? Who lives there ? Is it safe to walk through at night e.g. from the train station? Is it a nice place to live?

Also, is Midleton in general a safe place to live?

    Thanks!

I answered your other post, but yes, Broomfield is absolutely safe. Mostly families, loads of young kids. People out running/walking/dog walking all the time. It's a great spot to live - 10 mins (ish) to the train station, 20 to town. The train is very handy to dodgy traffic into the city and is cheap as chips with a Taxsaver card (ymmv depending on tax bracket and number of days in the office). Most sub estates handle their own grass cutting. There's no overall OMC, but I think there is one for the apartments and maybe the town houses, there's certainly a plaque on the wall.

Midleton in general is very safe and very nice.

Lower East Side of Midleton is well dodgy.
