Hi all. Looking into buying a new car I've only ever owned second hand but at a place now where I can treat myself. The car I'm looking at has a wait time of 6-12 months on order. If I apply for one through PCP do I have to pay the full downpayment likely 17k upfront while I wait for the car?. Do the repayments kick in as soon as I order or once I receive the car?. How flexable are dealers on negotiating?. Is it worth visting 2-3 dealers or staying with local dealer. Be 90mins+ to the next nearest dealer.

You'd pay a small holding deposit up front but you'd only be taking out the loan around the time you're picking it up.

Definitely shop around. Ideal scenario is you get a price you're happy with and then the local crowd match it. That way you feel like you've got a good deal and also keeping it local for any issues or servicing down the line.
