Further to me recent query about the death notice of William John Thomson in 1845 I've come across some burial records that I've overlooked for the longest time.

They are burial records for both John William and his grandparents Urquhart and Frances on the irishgenealogy.ie website.

What I'm wondering is can anyone tell me what graveyard these records might pertain to?

    It's Glasnevin St Mobhi's (COI).

The Dublin graveyard directory doesn't allow a link to a result but if you search it there, you'll see the details.

    Thanks pinky.

Yes, looking at the old map that was the only graveyard I could find in the area but the transcripts at Find A Grave didn't include any Thomson's.

I'll have to pay it a visit and do a walk around.

I think there is a mistranscription on the entry for Frances (Burial of FRANCES THOMPSON of MAKLENBURGH STREET VILVET PAUL) I think that should read 'Velvet' and 'Paid' ? The sum (17/4) paid is higher than the others, and if added up in 'old money' the total does come to £2.13s.4d. I wonder did the clergyman wear special vestments for a more elaborate ceremony and get paid accordingly?

    Good stuff Mick!

I meant to ask for thoughts on that first word cause I couldn’t figure out the context for the entry.
